I did study animation!! I can animate a bit better than this, to be fair! Not much, but I'm not used to animating traditionally (which is kind of how I did this). The result it's pretty cool, tho, ain't it?

i did sketch it before coloring it though (will edit the initial sketch in), i found the process easy as i kept layers separately for different groups of colors, then i clipped new layers to those groups in order to add details / shadows, more time spending than the usual way i go about my art, but it's fun to experiment every now and then :)
